ACCESS info

Alabama Connecting Classroom, Educators and Students Statewide (ACCESS) program is a very interesting tool. Its where students are able to use the internet to learn subjects such as Math and Science rather than using text books. The plan is to have a least one high school course online. Meaning that each student use the internet to learn whatever subject that teacher chose.
This seems like a very smart way to introduce high school students to the internet but also prepare them for college. Students will find out that the majority of school work in college is based on finding things out via the internet. The ACCESS program is a great idea by Gov. Bob Riley and has been an innovative way that distance learning is available in Alabama high schools. As a future educator I plan to use this ACCESS program to better myself and my students.
